Carrier Discovery
Carrier Discovery is the insurance claims industry's only contributory data source for auto policy information with contributions exceeding 70% (and growing) of all P&C auto policies in the United States. Carrier Discovery provides policy data on private passenger auto policies through a name and address or VIN search.
As Carrier Discovery is a contributory database, to which insurance carriers provide their actual policyholder data, it is available only to those insurance carriers that contribute data. This contributory database is offered through AutoTrackXP® or OrderPoint®, ChoicePoint's Web-based systems for claims professionals.
The Carrier Discovery database is:
- Reliable - Data contributions come directly from auto carriers.
- Current - 90% of contributions occur daily or weekly (balance occurs monthly).
- Deep - Participating carriers currently represent more than 70% of the total U.S. personal auto market.
- Robust - Information fields include policy number, carrier name, coverage type, driver names, vehicle details, and policy inception, cancellation, endorsement and renewal dates.
